Enterprise transformation with AEM + SAP B2B Commerce

Dow Corning was originally established as a joint venture between the Dow Chemical Company and Corning Incorporated. Dow Chemical and DuPont have since merged and “Dow Corning” has become the “Performance Silicone” business unit of DowDuPont, and is the largest silicone product producer in the world. “Dow Corning” originally came to us in need of a technology partner with deep knowledge of both the SAP B2B Commerce (Hybris) and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). Our engagement expanded far beyond systems integration after a number of delays from other tracks of work began to affect delivery and the realization made that having a creative team with heavy commerce and platform expertise was critical to the success of the program.

My role was initially to serve as a commerce subject matter expert - consulting and overseeing all UX and Visual Design deliverables from their agency of record. While their work provided a tremendous foundation of user personas, segmentation, design components, and the start of some very complex buying processes - they struggled and were out of their comfort zone sitting within an agile program, working side-by-side with engineering teams and designing for the realistic constraints of the environment. My team was staffed to quickly assess next steps and execute on several complex workflows involving: advanced registration, dynamic pricing models, data-visualizations, administration, ordering, account and user management.
